What does remote or digital volunteering mean?

Remote volunteering refers to tasks that can be completed wherever the volunteer is based, they are not tasks that require face-to-face volunteering and therefore they are not just accessible to volunteers that are local to your organisation. Similarly, digital volunteers refers to the online relationship that your organisation will have with this volunteer.

Communication with volunteers will take place digitally via email, phone calls and online video calls (such as Skype, Zoom or Teams), as you require. Therefore remote and digital volunteering does not include face-to-face volunteering at this time. If you list your opportunity under the category of 'Other' then it still must be a task that can be completed remotely and digitally. Our categories lay out areas of support that are suitable for this type of arrangement.
